Why I Work Out

Hey ya’ll welcome back to the blog!  If you were to ask me the top 3 most important things in my life I would tell you, my family, inspiring this growing community, and staying physically active.  In order to balance my professional life and home life it’s important for me to stay mentally and physically fit; this is why I work out!The most obvious reason why I work out is because working out is going to keep me physically fit.  Hitting the trail for a jog or waking up at the crack of dawn for a Barry’s Bootcamp class helps me keep my stamina up. Heck, I even make sure I find a moment to take a jog or do a quick Tone It Up workout in my hotel like this one on my trip to Greece this summer! Working out is that important to me! The weekends I schedule weddings back to back, boy am I glad I do my cardio during the week!  If you’re a wedding shooter you know it’s no easy task to be on your feet running from one end of a venue to the other for 10+ hours!  Even if I don’t have time to make it to the gym in the morning, I find a quick moment to do some in home workouts; I live by these booty workouts!Did you know working out is a great way to maintain a healthy mental fitness?!  While you workout the brain chemical, serotonin, is released to help your brain and body regulate your mood, appetite, and sleep schedule.  I have a creative job so if I haven’t worked out and haven’t been necessarily eating super healthy my thoughts can easily be fogged with the stresses and anxieties of the everyday worries. Personally for me, when my mind feels balanced and at ease I feel like I am equipped to rule the day and stay inspired creatively.Working out can be a huge confidence boost!  Many times when we start a new fitness routine we set goals we’d like to meet.  Maybe you have a goal weight you’d like to reach?  Maybe your goal is to run nonstop for 15 minutes?  Maybe your goal is to simply make it to the gym!?  When you’ve challenged yourself and followed through it’ll give you that confidence boost and leave you feeling accomplished!  Imagine having that feeling of accomplishment before you even walk into the office. What else will you be able to crush in your day?!Working out has become such an important part of my daily routine and I truly see the benefits from it. Not only is it important to block out a little “you” time for a workout; what you eat plays a big part in the process. When you combine a fitness routine and a healthy diet, maintaining the physical and mental balance becomes even easier. Not sure what to eat? Start by reading this post about what to eat before and after you workout!  What are some of your reasons for working out? Whatever your reason may be for working out, keep it up!Stay Inspired,JanaSaveSaveSaveSave
