Saint- Flour France Photo Diary

Ya'll ! I am so excited to share these travel photos with you! I recently went to Europe to speak about branding at my friend Christene Chang's Wedding Photogrpahy workshop in London. We decided to make a girls trip out of it. First stop Paris , then we rented a car and drove about 4 hours south to Cantel France. It is considered Central France and it is umong the most undiscovered villages in all of France. Ya'll I felt like I was in Alabama ( where I am from) this calm feeling just washed over me. We had amazing food and wine that was locally sourced.  We did not see one American tourist the entire time. It was such an authentic experience. The specific town we stayed in is called Saint- Flour France.  The upper city  of Saint-Flour is located on the abrupt volcanic dike Planèze, (kinda reminded me of Santorini) the lower city (ville basse) extends on the banks of the Ander.  Perched on a volcanic hill, the town of Saint-Flour is brimming with religious, historical and natural heritage including the Alfred Douet Museum of Art and History in the old consular house, the Haute-Auvergne Museum in the Episcopal palace, and the Saint-Pierre cathedral.  As we walked from the upper city to the lower city we saw sheep and kitty cats and little French children playing.  I used this road trip to fall in love with my 35mm Sigma art series lens. All of the images are shot with that lens and edit with my JW PRESET.  I would love to hear if any of you guys have visited Saint -Flour or have any recomendations for off the beaten path road trips like this?  Leave me a message in the comments section. Thanks for stopping by and enjoying a walk through Saint-Flour with me.Stay InspiredJana SaveSave
